LEAVE AND ABSENCE

A student absent on the first day of a new academic year shall have her name struck off the roll. This discretion will be with the Principal.

A student suffering from a contagious/infectious disease like mumps, chicken pox, measles etc. shall observe the quarantine period as counselled by the doctor. A medical certificate shall ascertain the fitness/propriety for the student's resumption of attendance.

In the case of a student absent from school for more than three days, the school should be informed by the parent and a Medical Certificate produced on the said student's return.

Continuous absence from school for three or more months without any information in writing or permission, shall render the student liable to her name struck off the roll.

Leave cannot be granted for weddings, celebrations, rituals, family vacations. Adhere to holidays scheduled in the fixtures. Parents are requested to ensure regularity of their ward to school and not to insist for leave unreasonably.

Regularity of attendance and punctuality are imperative. Late comers shall be sent home.

Any excuse for withdrawing from any school activity/programme whatsoever will not be considered.

Those pupils commuting by school bus, if required to stay in school after departure time, will have to make prior arrangements for returning home.

Pupils must remain present on the first day of school after any vacation period and also on the last day of the school before the beginning of a vacation. Non-compliance of this rule shall be strictly met with.
